Greece: Molotov thrown at Police and a bus set on fire after march to German Embassy

After the end of a protest march against German imperialism from Athens Omonia Square to the German Embassy a group of young anarchists stopped a trolley bus near Athens Polytechnic, asked passengers to disembark and set it on fire. Molotov bombs were thrown to the Riot Police Forces afterwards and at a moment they burned and the flag of the European Union.
The protest march was called against German and capitalist influences on Greece and Europe.

Μολότοφ στα ΜΑΤ και ένα πυρπολημένο τρόλεϊ μετά την πορεία στην Γερμανική Πρεσβεία.
Μετά το πέρας της πορείας προς την Γερμανική Πρεσβεία που οργάνωσαν συλλογικότητες, ομάδα νεαρών αντί-εξουσιαστών ακινητοποίησαν διερχόμενο τρόλεϊ στην Πατησίων μπροστά από το Πολυτεχνείο, κατέβασαν τους επιβάτες και στη συνέχεια το πυρπόλησαν. Ακολούθησε ένταση με ρίψεις μολότοφ προς τις αστυνομικές δυνάμεις που κατέφτασαν ενώ κάποια στιγμή οι νεαροί έκαψαν και την σημαία της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης.
Το κάλεσμα για την πορεία που έγινε πριν τα επεισόδια ήταν ενάντια στην ιμπεριαλιστική πολιτική του γερμανικού κεφαλαίου και των διεθνών και ντόπιων συμμάχων του.

ΛΟΑΤ διαδηλωτές απομακρύνονται ενώ φιλιούνται μπροστά στη Βουλή

Στον απόηχο της ιστορίας του Κώστα και του Ζέμπι, του γκέι ζευγαριού που ξυλοκοπήθηκε άγρια στην πλατεία Βαρνάβα της Αθήνας, η Διεθνής Αμνηστία και η Colour Youth, Κοινότητα Lgbtq Νέων Αθήνας προσκάλεσαν για επαναστατικά φιλιά ενάντια στην ομοφοβία & την τρανσφοβία το απόγευμα της Κυριακής, 17 Μαΐου, έξω από τη Βουλή. Κατά την διάρκεια της δράσης αυτής οι διαδηλωτές διατάχτηκαν από την στρατονομία να απομακρυνθούν και να μην τραβούν φωτογραφίες. Όπως ήταν επόμενο υπήρξαν διαμαρτυρίες, γιατί ενώ στους άλλους περαστικούς  επιτρεπόταν να βρίσκονταν στο χώρο, δεν επιτράπηκε στα άτομα των ΛΟΑΤ κοινοτήτων. Σε ένδειξη διαμαρτυρίας γι αυτή την διάκριση, νεαρή διαδηλώτρια προχώρησε προς το Μνημείο του Αγνώστου Στρατιώτη φωνάζοντας το σύνθημα: "Ελλάδα - Ρωσία - Ομοφοβία" (αναφερόμενη στην από κοινου καταπίεση των ΛΟΑΤ ατόμων στις δυο χώρες), ενώ απομακρύνθηκε από αστυνομικές δυνάμεις. 
Η 17η Μαΐου είναι Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Κατά της Ομοφοβίας, της Αμφιφοβίας & της Τρανσφοβίας και οι ΛΟΑΤ κοινότητες διαδήλωσαν ενάντια στα Εγκλήματα Μίσους με βάσει τον αληθινό ή θεωρούμενο σεξουαλικό προσανατολισμό, την ταυτότητα ή/και έκφραση φύλου.

LGBT demonstrators removed while kissing in front of the Greek Parliament.
In the aftermath of the story of Kostas and Zempi, the gay couple who was badly beaten in Athens, Amnesty International and Colour Youth Lgbtq Athens Community invited to kisses against homophobia and transphobia in the afternoon of  Sunday, the 17th May, outside the Parliament. During this action the protesters were ordered by the military police to go away and not take pictures. As was to be expected there were protests because while passersby  were allowed in the area, the LGBT people were not allowed . In protest for this distinction, a young protester went towards the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier shouting the slogan: "Greece - Russia - Homophobia" (referred to the oppression of LGBT people in both countries), while she was removed by police.
May 17 is the International Day Against Homophobia, the biphobia & transphobia (IDAHOT) and LGBT communities protested against Hate Crimes based on the true or presumed sexual orientation, identity and / or gender expression.

Η 3η Γιορτή Ισότητας των Οικογενειών στην Ακαδημία Πλάτωνος

Οι Οικογένειες Ουράνιο Τόξο διοργάνωσαν για 3η φορά την Γιορτή  Ισότητας των Οικογενειών στο Πάρκο της Ακαδημίας Πλάτωνος.
Φέτος το Κυριακάτικο Σχολείο Μεταναστών εντάχθηκε στην γιορτή και είχε με τις οικογένειες μια πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα συζήτηση σχετικά με το πώς ο ρατσισμός, η τρανσφοβία και η ομοφοβία ξεκινούν από τις ίδιες αιτίες και πώς η άγνοια μπορεί να κάνει τα πράγματα χειρότερα.
Κείμενο από το κάλεσμα της Γιορτής:
"Ας ξεκινήσουμε από το τι είναι η Γιορτή των Οικογενειών: είναι ένα παγκόσμιο γεγονός που συμβαίνει ταυτόχρονα σε πάρα πολλές χώρες του κόσμου την πρώτη Κυριακή του Μάη, μια γιορτή υπερηφάνειας για τις οικογένειές μας.
Αυτό σημαίνει ότι είναι μια γιορτή μόνο για οικογένειες με lgbt γονείς; Όχι! Κατηγορηματικά όχι! Η γιορτή των οικογενειών είναι μια γιορτή για όλες τις οικογένειες.
Είναι μια μέρα για να χαρούμε και θέλουμε να μοιραστούμε αυτή τη χαρά και με όλους. Αυτός είναι ο λόγος που διοργανώνουμε τη γιορτή μας σε ένα δημόσιο πάρκο ώστε να είναι ανοιχτή σε όλους και μικροί -μεγάλοι να μπορούν να ενωθούν μαζί μας και να απολαύσουν δράσεις παιχνίδια τραγούδια γέλιο και χαρά.
Είναι μια μέρα ορατότητας. Υπάρχουμε και θέλουμε να μιλήσουμε για τα δικαιώματα των οικογενειών μας που το επίσημο κράτος μας αρνείται , για τα δικαιώματα που δεν έχουν τα παιδιά μας.
Όσοι θεωρούν ότι οι οικογένειές μας δεν υπάρχουν, όσοι θεωρούν ότι η μοναδική αποδεκτή δομή οικογένειας είναι η ετεροκανονική πυρηνική οικογένεια, όσοι πιστεύουν ότι υπάρχει κάποιος «άλλος» λόγος που θέλουμε να έχουμε παιδιά εκτός από το δικαίωμα και την δέσμευση μας στην γονεϊκότητα έχουν θέση σε αυτή τη γιορτή; Φυσικά και έχουν! Ο φόβος για τον «άλλο» που είναι διαφορετικός τελειώνει όταν γνωρίζεις αυτόν τον «άλλο» και βλέπεις ότι δεν πρόκειται για ένα σαρκοφάγο μυθικό τέρας με 3 κεφάλια μακριά ουρά και άλλα τρομακτικά χαρακτηριστικά. Είμαστε γονείς, τίποτα περισσότερο, τίποτα λιγότερο, αγαπάμε τα παιδιά μας και θέλουμε να είναι ευτυχισμένα, αυτό είναι φανερό από την πρώτη στιγμή που θα βρεθεί κάποιος κοντά στις οικογένειές μας. Κάνουμε λάθη όπως όλοι οι γονείς αλλά πάντα έχουμε τις «κεραίες» μας ανοιχτές να ακούσουμε τις επιθυμίες και τις ανάγκες των παιδιών μας. Τα παιδιά μας συχνά αντιμετωπίζουν έντονη αποδοκιμασία για την δομή της οικογένειάς τους, έτσι αυτή η μέρα είναι ιδιαίτερα σημαντική γι’ αυτά και για μας. Μια μέρα γιορτής και αποδοχής. "

Greece: International Family Equality Day (IFED 2015) celebrated at Plato’s Academy Park.
For the third time the International Family Equality Day was celebrated in Athens, Greece at Plato’s Academy Park.
This year the Sunday School of Immigrants joined the celebration and had with the families a very interesting discussion about how racism, transphobia and homophobia start from the same causes and how ignorance can make things worst.
But most of all, the families’ picnic was a celebration of equality with everyone playing games – among a bunch of colorful balloons – telling stories, eating rainbow cakes, singing songs, and letting creativity gone wild with water pistols full of rainbow paints!

Όψεις της Αθήνας με την νέα mirrorless Canon EOS M3 (βίντεο)

Δείγματα ταινίας βίντεο που γυρίστηκαν σε υψηλά ISO, σε συνθήκες χαμηλού φωτισμού, στα 1080p full High Definition, με την νέα mirror-less κάμερα Canon EOS Μ3. Η τιμή ISO από κάθε δείγμα ταινία εμφανίζεται στην κάτω δεξιά πλευρά του βίντεο. Χρησιμοποιήθηκαν οι εξής φακοί:
1. Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 non-Ai (με adapter).
2. Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 60-300mm f/3.8-5.4 (23A).
3. Tokina 12-24mm f/4 AT-X 124AF Pro DX II for Nikon (με adapter).
4. Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II LD IF for Canon.
Τα γυρίσματα έγιναν στην Αθήνα μεταξύ 11 και 15 Απριλίου 2015.
H Canon EOS M3 αναμένεται να κυκλοφορήσει στην Ευρώπη στο τέλος του Απριλίου 2015, ενώ έχει ήδη κυκλοφορήσει στην Ιαπωνία από το τέλος Μαρτίου από όπου την προμηθεύτηκα. Το μοντέλο αυτό δεν θα κυκλοφορήσει καθόλου στην αμερικανική αγορά.(Edit: Μήνες μετά την αρχική της κυκλοφορία, ή εταιρία άλλαξε γνώμη και κυκλοφόρησε την τρίτης γενιάς mirrorless EOS Μ3 και στην αμερικανική αγορά).

Movie samples shot in low light- high ISO, 1080p full HD, with the new mirror-less Canon EOS M3 in Athens, Greece. ISO value of every movie sample is shown at the right-bottom side of the video. Chipped and unchipped legacy lenses were used for shooting the samples of this movie, which are:
1. Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 non-Ai (adapter used).
2. Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 60-300mm f/3.8-5.4 (23A).
3. Tokina 12-24mm f/4 AT-X 124AF Pro DX II for Nikon (adapter used).
4. Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II LD IF for Canon.
Movie samples were shot from April 11 until April 15 2015 in the center of the Greek capital.

Canon EOS M3 is expected to be released in Europe by the end of April 2015 and has already been released in Japan at the end of March where it was purchased. This model will not be released at all in the US market.  (Edit: The camera company finally brought its EOS M3,  to the U.S. market).

Αθήνα: κινητοποιήσεις τη μέρα κατά του ρατσισμού

Απουσία των μεγάλων ΜΜΕ πραγματοποιήθηκαν στην Αθήνα οι κινητοποιήσεις για την παγκόσμια μέρα κατά του ρατσισμού, των φυλετικών διακρίσεων, της ξενοφοβίας και της μισαλλοδοξίας. Αντιρατσιστικές και μεταναστευτικές οργανώσεις, πρωτοβουλίες και φορείς διοργάνωσαν συλλαλητήριο αλλά και καλλιτεχνικές εκδηλώσεις στην πλατεία Κλαυθμώνος, το μεσημέρι του Σαββάτου, αλλά και στην Ομόνοια.
Το νεοναζιστικό κόμμα Χρυσή Αυγή προκάλεσε διοργανώνοντας δική του συγκέντρωση με ρατσιστικό κάλεσμα, ανήμερα της μέρας κατά του ρατσισμού. Από αντιφασίστες διοργανώθηκε πορεία το απόγευμα με κατεύθυνση το χώρο συγκέντρωσης της Χρυσής Αυγής. Η πορεία των αντιφασιστών, ανακόπηκε από την αστυνομία που παρέταξε στην πορεία τους κλούβες και ΜΑΤ.
Και ενώ τα ΜΜΕ έλαμψαν δια της απουσίας τους από τις εκδηλώσεις των μεταναστών για την μέρα, το δημόσιο κανάλι ΝΕΡΙΤ έλαμψε δια της παρουσίας του στη ρατσιστική συγκέντρωση της Χρυσής Αυγής, την οποία και πρόβαλε σε απευθείας μετάδοση από το webTV.
Τα συνθήματα που κυριάρχησαν στις πορείες ήταν να δοθεί η δυνατότητα απόκτησης ελληνικής ιθαγένειας στα παιδιά των μεταναστών που έχουν γεννηθεί στην Ελλάδα, αλλά και επίσης δυνατά ακούστηκε η φωνή εκατοντάδων διαδηλωτών για να τους δοθούν χαρτιά ώστε να αποκτήσουν πρόσβαση σε νόμιμη εργασία.
Στην πλατεία Κλαυθμώνος Έλληνες και μετανάστες χόρεψαν και διασκέδασαν μαζί, στα πλαίσια καλλιτεχνικών δρώμενων.

Athens, Greece 21 March 2015.
Several demonstrations were held in Athens for the world day against racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and intolerance (International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination). Antiracist and immigrant unions organized two rallies in the Klathmonos and Omonia squares at noon.
The neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party provoked by holding a rally with a racist call, on the day against racism.
Antifascists organized a third rally in the evening and marched towards the area of the Golden Dawn's rally. The protest march of the antifascists was blocked by heavy police presence.
The slogans that dominated the rallies were for the opportunity to acquire the Greek citizenship to the children of immigrants born in Greece, while hundreds of workers raised their voices requesting papers in order to gain access to legal work.

Tο γκράφιτι που κάλυψε το Πολυτεχνείο και έγινε σημείο αναφοράς

Σε σημείο αναφοράς της πόλης εξελίχτηκε αμέσως το ασπρόμαυρο γκράφιτι που εμφανίστηκε και καλύπτει το κτίριο του Πολυτεχνείου. Πολλοί περαστικοί σταματούν και το μελετούν, άλλοι το φωτογραφίζουν, ενώ τα ερωτήματα που τους προκαλεί η έντονη παρουσία του γίνονται κάποιες φορές αιτία να μιλήσουν άγνωστοι μεταξύ τους.
Σε άλλους αρέσει και σε άλλους όχι όπως είναι φυσικό.
Θεωρείται ότι είναι το μεγαλύτερο παράνομο έργο μοντέρνας τέχνης που έχει γίνει από γκραφιτάδες στην Αθήνα, και λέγεται ότι το υπογράφει η ομάδα «Icos & Case».
Ο προϊστάμενος της Εισαγγελίας Πρωτοδικών διέταξε τη διενέργεια κατεπείγουσας προκαταρκτικής εξέτασης για το εκτεταμένο γκράφιτι στους τοίχους του ιστορικού κτιρίου, που θα αναζητήσει τους υπαιτίους για την διάπραξη του αδικήματος της «διακεκριμένης φθοράς σε αντικείμενο που χρησιμεύει για κοινό όφελος».
