Texel National Park: Where human intervention creates paradise

Texel, Netherlands, 17th October 201.
The beauty secret of Dunes of Texel National Park, might be that alternative ways of travel such as hiking and cycling are fully exploited.

One hour journey by train from Amsterdam, brings you to Den Herlder port. From there you get the ferry boat that takes you to Texel island in 15 minutes. Ferry ticket costs 2,5 euros retour.
You can hire bicycle on the island which is as flat as a pancake.
For getting to the National Park you can go to De Koog village.
From there you walk into the Park. There is no admission fee.
Enjoying the natural aspects in a National Park is important.
By laying out hiking and bicycling paths in a well thought-out manner, conserving nature and recreation can go hand-in-hand.
This combination has been achieved in Dunes of Texel National Park.
