Street Dancers 4 Street People Performance in Athens, Greece

Athens, Greece, May 2014 .
A group of Athenian street dancers decide to perform breakdancing in Monastiraki Square and give the amount to be gathered in the hat, to a man who lives in the street , to help a homeless person. So they offer their skills, along with their vitality, imagination, freshness and optimism, in order to offer to someone who does not have the basics, and keep for themselves the hidden joy of a moral reward. Eventually the amount gathered was more than estimated in advance and they decided to offer it to more than one homeless person.

Night Bike Ride in Athens Greece

A crowd that loves cycling gather for a 4-5 hour ride in Athens every Friday. It's called "Freeday" and it started as a facebook group for cycling enthusiasts.
The ride is announced on facebook a day before, most probably late Thursday night and will give information only of where the ride will start, where the ride will head to and where it will finish. But the exact route is not revealed until the moment is realized.
The night ride lasts around 4-5 hours and there is a different route every week. All kinds of ages attend this ride.
"Freeday" has evolved to a movement that want to reclaim part of Athens streets for cyclists.
And here is the link for the facebook group page: http://www.facebook.com/freedayride

Texel National Park: Where human intervention creates paradise

Texel, Netherlands, 17th October 201.
The beauty secret of Dunes of Texel National Park, might be that alternative ways of travel such as hiking and cycling are fully exploited.

One hour journey by train from Amsterdam, brings you to Den Herlder port. From there you get the ferry boat that takes you to Texel island in 15 minutes. Ferry ticket costs 2,5 euros retour.
You can hire bicycle on the island which is as flat as a pancake.
For getting to the National Park you can go to De Koog village.
From there you walk into the Park. There is no admission fee.
Enjoying the natural aspects in a National Park is important.
By laying out hiking and bicycling paths in a well thought-out manner, conserving nature and recreation can go hand-in-hand.
This combination has been achieved in Dunes of Texel National Park.
