Greece: Dismissed cleaning staff protest during troika's meeting in Athens

Athens, Greece, November 12, 2013.
The cleaning staff from the Ministry of Finance who were recently dismissed as part of the administrative reforms in the public sector protest and clash with Police during Troika's meeting with Minister Yannis Stournaras.

The protesters attempt to enter the building when they notice that the troika representatives are arriving but were pushed away by Police Forces.

Protesters hold a banner that reads:
"Cleaning industry for the individuals,
cleaning staff kicked out in the streets.
Ministry of Finance."
Protesters say that even though they are getting paid with only 500 Euros every month, the Ministry of Finance chooses to dismiss them and give the work to individual agencies.
During the seconds 00:08 - 20:00 protesters can be heard to shout in Greek: "Go away, go to your country, murderers!".

Σε συγκέντρωση διαμαρτυρίας που έκαναν οι απολυμένες καθαρίστριες υπηρεσιών του υπουργείου Οικονομικών, αποδοκίμασαν την έλευση των στελεχών της τρόικας που κατέφτασαν για τη συνάντηση στο ΥΠΟΙΚ και επιχείρησαν να μπουν στο κτίριο, αλλά απωθήθηκαν από αστυνομικές δυνάμεις.

"Όσοι άκουσαν τα συνθήματά τους και τις είδαν παρατεταγμένες απέναντι στα πάνοπλα ΜΑΤ (τουλάχιστον δύο αστυνομικοί για κάθε γυναίκα!) μαντεύουν ότι πριν περάσει πολύς καιρός οι στρατιές των πεινασμένων θα πολιορκούν υπουργεία και άλλα δημόσια κτίρια, όχι επειδή θα τις καθοδηγεί το ΚΚΕ, ο ΣΥΡΙΖΑ ή κάποιο άλλο κόμμα, αλλά γιατί θα τις οδηγεί η απόγνωση..."
