Indignantos surround the Parliament in Athens


On the day of a general strike in Greece, Indignants surrounded the Parliament in Athens, Greece to protest against the government. 15th June 2011.

A big new steel fence around the area of the Parliament House to protect the members of the Parliament from the Greek Indignant crowd.

On the day of the general strike in Greece against government's economic austerity measures, around 7am in the morning the Indignants surrounded the Parliament in Athens.
The Greek Government reacted with:
- a number of 5000 riot policemen.
- blockade of a larger area around Parliament House. Pedestrians have to show ID and prove that they have work in the center to be allowed to pass from the Police blockade.
-a big new steel fence around the area of the Parliament House.
The protests of Indignantos will continue all day.
